The Problem: Workplace Overload
We are overloaded.
A 2024 NAMI-Ipsos survey of 2,062 employed adults in the United States found that more than 52% of employees reported dissatisfaction with their jobs, with burnout described as “a national concern” (National Alliance on Mental Health, 2024).
The Cost: Disconnection from Community
At the same time, overwhelming amounts of technology are making it easier to lose touch with one another.
As we become more digitally saturated, we risk losing the rituals that keep us centered, connected, and grounded in community (Feiler, 2026).
The Pressure: AI and Workload Creep
Artificial intelligence now dominates the headlines.
Although AI is often presented as a way to reduce work, it can also intensify it. Employees may take on more tasks, work longer hours, and experience workload creep—conditions associated with cognitive fatigue, burnout, and poorer decision-making (Ranganathan & Ye, 2026).
The Response: Reclaim Ritual and Connection
A healthier path begins with intentional action.
